New workspace for creatives

New desk space and workshop, meeting and event rooms are available in the heart of Brighton for creative individuals and organisations at affordable session, daily and weekly rates.

An affordable alternative to working from home and meetings in cafés, hire packages are designed to offer creatives from all sectors of the arts, not just those that write, space for meetings and events in a central location.

Rates have been set with the self-employed, freelancing and small or non-profit making enterprises in mind and all fees received go back into supporting the THE SOUTH, the writers’ network linked with Brighton Writers Centre and its activities.

Cara Courage, director of THE SOUTH, comments: ‘As a hub for writers, we understand that creatives may not be able to commit to long or even medium term rents and so we have expanded our space at Brighton Writers Centre to offer quiet and affordable desk and workshop space that can be used in and out of office hours, without making a huge dent in the pocket.’

Brighton Writers Centre is situated in the heart of the city on Grand Parade, close to all bus and rail links and car parking. The rooms are light and airy and can accommodate single desk working through to workshops for up to 12 and events for audiences of 20. Room layouts are flexible to suit the hirer’s requirements.

Hire can be by the morning or afternoon session, day or by the week and includes internet and out of office hours access; multiple and weekly bookings in advance will qualify for a discount.
