2006 marks the tenth Cuisle Festival in Limerick City, celebrating local, national and international excellence in poetry. The festival, which takes place from Wednesday 18th to Saturday 21st, October will have 20 poets from 5 different countries visiting Limerick over 4 days. Limericks’ long association with poetry makes Cuisle and Limerick the perfect opportunity and place for audiences to extend their experience of poetry during four festival days of convivial discussion readings, book launches and workshops with the leading contemporary poets of our time.

Check out the programme which includes readings and other events involving our very own Naomi Foyle, Maria Jastrzebska and John Davies who will be presenting Project poetry! As well as showing a short film about his experiences last year as Shedman in Limerick!
Other events feature Adrian Mitchell, Tim Cunningham, Saeid Hooshangi, George Szirtes and Brendan Kennelly amongst a star studded cast of international poets. (Bite your knuckles Shedman!)
