Supported by Arts Council England and The Literary Consultancy.
Are you a low income, high quality writer living in the south east, looking for some expert advice on your writing?
THE SOUTH launches its Free Read Competition with support from Arts Council England, to provide four writers in the region with a ‘free read’ from The Literary Consultancy, the UK’s leading manuscript assessment service.
The SOUTH is looking for submissions in both fiction and poetry:
A collection of up to three short stories, up to 3000 words each
Poetry submissions of up to 1000 lines
Four winning submissions, three from fiction and one from poetry will chosen by a panel of professional writers and readers at THE SOUTH, will be forwarded on to The Literary Consultancy for an honest, detailed, genuinely useful written report from a highly skilled editor.
