C. D Wright is the author of over a dozen works of poetry and prose.  Like Something Flying Backwards, New and Selected Poems is out this year from Bloodaxe. Also out this year is One Big Self: an Investigation (a book-length poem concerning Louisiana prisons). She is winner of numerous honours including most recently a MacArthur Fellowship and the Robert Creeley Award.  Wright is Israel J. Kapstein Professor at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
