CREATIVITY COACHING WORKSHOP – PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR WRITERS

Saturday 9th June, 10 am – 1 pm
Using the well-tested GROW model, in this 3 hour session writers will gain access to a way of working that brings real, fast results using the basic principles of coaching. Whether you are at the beginning of a project and unsure how to start, stuck halfway, or just not able to finish, the practical framework of creativity coaching will help move you forward, and keep you going right to the finish line and beyond. Participants will learn:
- How to structure their time
- How to stay motivated
- How to overcome creative blocks
AnnA Rushton is an experienced, published, author and creativity coach. Her experience is based on her own writing journey and professional training as a coach with CoachU. She has run workshops on creativity and coaching for groups and individuals in the UK and abroad.
LIFE WRITING

Want to record your family’s history, recall the hightlights of your career or write a memoir of your teen years? Whatever your reason, come to this half day course that will explore how to craft a story from real life experiences.
Led by Bridget Whelan, prize-winning short story writer and freelance journalist. 10 am – 1pm

Award-winning poet Linda France is author of five collections of poetry, most recently the Toast of the Kit Kat Club. She also writes for Mslexsia magazine and lectures.

Followed by a Poetry evening with Linda France, Brendan Cleary and Catherine Smith.
An evening of poetry bringing together three of Britain's most diverse voices. Linda France, Brendan Cleary and Catherine Smith create a dynamic line-up in reading, and talking about their work. Supportive music from the Safehouse Improvisation Collective.

THE EYE IN THE WALL- Creative Writing

Four Thursdays, 26th July – 19th August, at Fabrica, 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm
In this series of four summer workshops at Fabrica, poets and fiction writers will be encouraged to produce invigorating new work drawing upon Fabrica’s summer exhibition, ‘La Route Blanche’ by Dominique De Beir. Led by Dave Swann, author and senior lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Chichester.
