All new Poetry South for Spring 2008

Following the success of the Poetry South: Autumn Series of events, THE SOUTH, in partnership with Pighog Press and London Publishers tall-lighthouse, present a monthly series of new poetry at the Joogleberry Playhouse in Brighton. First Thursday of every month.

Thursday 7th February Shedman John Davies launches his new collection from Pighog Press with Gareth Jones (new tall-lighthgouse pilot series Weekend Millionaires 2007) Music from Katarina Holmberg. Plus open mic THE SOUTH

Thursday 6th March Hidden River Stephanie Norgate launches her new Bloodaxe collection in Brighton with Maggie Sawkins, Jay Bernard and open mic. With traditional folk vocalist Laura Hockenhull. THE SOUTH
Thursday 3rd April Ghost in the House Lorna Thorpe launches her new collection from Arc. With Graham Buchan and music from In Cahoots THE SOUTH
Thursday 1st May John McCullough launches his new Pilot Series collection from tall-lighthouse. With guest poets (tbc) and open mic THE SOUTH
Monday 12th May

International Special: Poetry South Festival Finnish Three prize-winning poets from Finland: Jouni Inkala, Merja Virolainen and Johanna Venho.
Please note different venue: The Quadrant, Air Street (next to the Clock Tower in the heart of Brighton).
